GIRL POWER is an installation-based exploration of the power of design to challenge social norms and traditional power structures. Created as a collab with Theresa Schwaiger, the project initiates socioeconomic and political discussions about women in society, visualizing stereotypes such as beauty ideals and gender marketing. The work views design not as a tool for stimulating consumption, but as a medium to critically examine the constraints of the beauty industry and ingrained role models. The large-scale sculptures within the series address physical disciplining: their forms force stereotypical seating positions, such as crossed legs and arched backs. The installation is complemented by mobile, sponge-like objects that ironically reference the image of the housewife, alongside a sound installation made of fur objects. These broadcast passages from "The Daughters of Egalia" and artist interviews, using a combination of androgynous voices and provocative content to deliberately shatter normative patterns of perception.
