CTU – Ceramic to Use – is a holistic series of modular kitchenware designed to promote a conscious and appreciative approach to food through a variety of functions including storage, cooling, and fermentation. All objects are 3D-generated and manufactured using precise 3D ceramic printing, enabling complex geometries and subtle color gradients. The natural porosity of the ceramic is utilized functionally: in the integrated hydroponic feature, the material releases moisture via a structured surface, with the darkening of the damp clay visually indicating the usage status. The stackable system defines its diverse applications through specialized lids. A butter cooler protects against oxidation, while an inner pot with a wave-shaped rim ensures ideal air circulation for storing produce. Complemented by a fermentation function for preservation, the system merges innovative technology with the non-toxic, durable properties of ceramic to support a resource-conscious everyday culture.
